It is now time for the swim suit competition!
The official sponsor is Kooey Australia. All the girls wore bikini's that were either pink, blue or a purplish print. Needless to say these girls look amazing and the new years resolution to hit the gym will not be ignored in 2013!
Time cut to the top 10!
Miss Australia Renae Ayris, Miss Russia Elizabeth Golovanova, Miss Brazil Gabriela Markus, Miss France Marie Payet, Miss Venezuela Irene Esser, Miss USA Olivia Culpo, Miss Hungary Agnes Konkoly, Miss South Africa Melinda Bam, Miss Mexico Karina Gonzalez and Miss Philippines Janine Tugonon.
The evening gown is my FAVORITE part of any pageant! It really shows what the girls style is all about!
Miss Australia Renae Ayris-LOVE IT! Incredible white dress with fitted bodice and flowing skirt!
Miss Russia Elizabeth Golovanova-This what I would call bling leotard with pleated skirt around natural waist. Daring not sure how I feel about it?
Miss Brazil Gabriela Markus-Another OMG! That dress did everything it should, her waist looks so tiny!
Miss France Marie Payet-Looked nice, it didn't stand out to me but I didn't hate it. The neckline was a nice change.
Miss Venezuela Irene Esser-She is having so much fun! That green stood out so much! There is a reason it is the pantone color of the year for 2013!
Miss USA Olivia Culpo-Very different and stunning but not sure how I felt in a pageant setting. It looked a little too "Sexy Mrs. Claus" given the setting but very pretty!
Miss Hungary Agnes Konkoly-Really plain bodice, ruffled skirt. The balance was off it needed something else on the top!
Miss South Africa Melinda Bam-Gold leather is what was described on tv, I think it looked more like paillettes. It was very pretty but not my favorite.
Miss Mexico Karina Gonzalez-Red which I love! Neckline which I don't love. Same concept as Miss Russia. Still not sure how I feel about this new look.
Miss Philippines Janine Tugonon-I get what she was going for with the see through skirt. It just looked so stiff and like it was an oops on stage. I would have cut a slit so it could catch some air and line a little so it didn't look like she was wearing granny panties!
Then we were on to the top 5 Miss Venezuela Irene Esser, no surprise here. Venezuela always sends girls who are well prepared, Miss Philippines Janine Tugonon, maybe Trump has a thing for granny panties or I am missing this new fashion trend, Miss Australia Renae Ayris, yeah I loved her! Miss USA Olivia Culpo and Miss Brazil Gabriela Markus, she is stunning.
Top 5 get the dreaded question
Diego Boneta asks Miss Venezuela what new law she would enact and why. I don't know if she just didn't get the question or if coming from a country with a dictator she just doesn't get that people can make laws. Either way all I can say is Maps?
Nigel Barker asks the Twitter question to Miss Philippines: Should English be a prerequisite to being Miss Universe? Her answer is not only great considering Venezuala just bombed her answer in English, but she says it’s not about language; it’s about influence and strength of character.
Lisa Vanderpump asks Miss Australia about modeling and losing weight. She says she feels comfortable and would ignore weight remarks. Good for her! If I looked like that I wouldn't worry either, but lets remember that new years resolution!
Ximena Navarrette asks Miss USA if there is anything in her life she did that she would not do again. She says picking on her siblings, but that she doesn't really regret it. Really? This is what you wouldn't do. How about something to do with quitting piano lessons or never learning a foreign language. Picking on your siblings?
Kerri Walsh Jennings asks Miss Brazil if competing in a swimsuit reduces women to sexual objects? She says we can share our character in bikinis, too; it’s important to show everyone what’s inside and in our hearts. Good job Brazil!
The judges get a final look and then we have the final order!
